Street Kids Direct works in partnership with existing projects in Guatemala and Honduras, coming alongside them to provide support, encouragement, training, volunteers, project funding and helping them to network with groups that could help them develop their work.

The AFE Project was founded in 2004 by Jeony Ordoñez who had been working with street children in the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa.

Jeony and his team run a school for 160 children who work, or used to work, on the city rubbish dump.

Proyecto Manuelito was founded by Jorge Pinto who was raised an orphan and knows from first hand experience what life is like growing up in very hard and challenging circumstances.

Richard and Chris Rice moved to Guatemala City, together with their two young children in May 2000 and now run an outreach project for ‘high risk’ kids in Guatemala.
